yesterday i was talking with someone about mortem and i said something to the effect of "the best way to write worldbuilding is to ask #1 if goths exist and #2 how they formed" and then in a fit of haze sketched some of the worst fashion based designs of my life

Iris is the main protagonist with Carmen and Hunter as secondary deuteragonists. Hunter and Iris are foils of one another. Hunter spent his years in self hatred and internalized homophobia that he gained from his upbringing, where Iris has tried and continues to try to get better despite everything shes gone through. Iris is pessimistic, Hunter nhilistic, and Carmen optimistic. Ultimately, they all have to reshape their worldviews. Carmen learns helpful aspects of nihilism from Hunter, and the other two learn the importance of optimism from Carmen. They each have to redefine their outlooks on life.

as for more simple dynamics, Iris and hunter hate eachother, Iris and Carmen love eachother, and hunter and carmen are the gossiping high schoolers outside the mall with matching purses
