♫: an argument that you’re sick of hearing
i don’t think there’s an arguement i’m sick of hearing bc that just… sounds a little harsh? lmao but i guess an idea that i’ve seen thrown around a lot that i’m kinda wanting to see get reinvented is the whole olympians vs titans thing and who was the better ruler and what not. like there’s a lot of debate over whether or not zeus was really the better leader, and you tend to see the titans getting made out to be the bad guys quite frequently in modern film adaptations, but really i don’t think either side was the better one; the titans just had the shitty end of the prophecy stick and lost and given the fact that the greeks worshipped the olympians, obviously they’ll have a bias towards them when telling the story, so i really don’t think cronus and the titans were this ultimate evil. ( they def were problematic though, but so are the olympians )
i’m pretty sure in the myths, zeus later sets his father and the other titans free and makes cronus king of elysium. meanwhile in roman mythology, saturn (cronus) later became a harvest god that was even honored and celebrated in their culture. so i guess what i’m trying to say is that i think looking at the titans as villains and the olympians as the better alternative has been done a lot and i’d much rather see storylines where the olympians and titans are forced to get passed their rivalries and learn to coexist or see storylines that challenge whether or not things really did change for the better after the olympians took over. the time of titan reign was called the golden age for a reason, so who knows… i’m titan trash and need to see more titans in this fandom. but i think the relatively negative conversation surrounding the titans is probably the reason why nobody makes muses for them. :/
@mortesan liked this thing for a starter!
“You don’t look any different than what I remember.”
Nico murmured when he saw the young lady. Sure, the memory was a bit fuzzy, back when he visisted the Vatican the last time before moving to America with his mother, but he did remember seeing the woman. A small smile played on his lips.
“You probably don’t remember me.”

The fact that Pablo’s quiet is fairly well known. He has a soft-spoken snark to him that Maria doesn’t bother hiding, which is partially why she’s usually the one attending these stupid meetings. It’s not even comforting to him to listen to everyone bicker and argue; it just irritates him, makes him regret agreeing to come in her place. Maria’s failing health is important to him, though, and as much as they fight, he’d never force her to go to one of these things while she was sick. She’d given him a folder of the information he could possibly need to know and had wished him good luck before returning to bed.
So he’s in the back. Unsurprising. There’s not a lot he has to share right now. He fidgets quietly in his seat, mostly to avoid eye contact with Antonio, keeping his gaze glued instead on his folder as Alfred chatters on about--- something. Talking over someone else. He’s not paying much attention, to be honest.
He only glances up when someone sits close to him. And he freezes instantly, feet seemingly rooted to the floor; Pablo tries not to look at her and keeps his eyes on America instead. His heart is suddenly pounding.

{I found an amazing Vatican. DAY.MADE.}

“--------What was that?” He coldly replies, blinking through his eyelashes. “--------If you have something to say, you’ll say it aloud where I and everyone else can hear you. Is that much understood, tovarisch?”
@mortesan ♥’ed this.
“Welcome to our beautiful Firenze. We have already been looking forward to having you here.”
