Mortgage Math

I read a headline this morning in the journal that said:

The American Dream Feels Out of Reach for Most

Whose "American Dream" are they referring to because I understood complex math as a kid and owning a home seemed like just about the dumbest thing if it wasn't an investment home with more than one unit that you could rent out if you were planning to live in it. I say planning to live in because math would tell you that based on your interest rate and price demand in the market.

My American Dream was to see the world. It wasn't to find the fanciest jail cell I could find and be happy that my masters who assigned me my first prisoner number and called it a "Social Security" number had given me the right to pay them taxes as soon as I could work and even before I could go die for them and not drink a beer at 18 years of age.

Ridiculous.

My American Dream is to see all colors and religions live peacefully amongst themselves.

Our Fire Departments, we all agree to pay for with our taxes. That is a prime example of our society banding together and agreeing on something because we acknowledge that we need firefighters for our communities to thrive and expand.

Sure, that is the definition of a Socialist System but aren't we already using it smoothly & successfully in America?

Maybe like Centrists, we need to take a Centristic approach to our systems across all Government Sectors, too, using Socialists concepts that provingly work and removing the Capitalistic ones from them. Maybe corruption can be cut out and it is disinformation when people say otherwise.

My American Dream is not to be a hamster in a wheel of debt for the banks my entire life. No, I am sorry. That American Dream was more like the banks American Scheme to put citizens who don't realize they are prisoners in an endless loop where ultimately the banks get the properties back to resell all over again.
