i’m so in love with this world and everything in it
sometimes making a particularly loathsome hetero ship canon IS homophobic, actually.

Day 17: Contrition
For the 30 day swtor oc challenge
To start with, the biggest (iustitia canon) regret Gimrizh has is how she treated her closest friend/adopted sister Yaina during their Institute years. To summarize, Yaina was suffering from pretty severe depression as a result of her disgust in the force/dark side and what she was being forced to do on Korriban, she eventually tried to run away, Gimrizh was sent to kill her, and Yaina took her own life before her friend could so that at least her death would be her own decision. Gimrizh’s entire world view is pretty broken up by this, as she had barely noticed what Yaina was going through and treated her issues rather callously. Gimrizh is also fraught with indecision, as she’s not sure if she would actually have been able to kill Yaina or not and suspects the worst of herself. Gimrizh would give a hell of a lot to be able to go back and do the entire thing differently, as she places pretty much all the blame on herself.
Her other biggest regret is how she hands the Quinncident, but given that I haven’t wrote about it yet and Iustitia canon is gonna differ from game canon, I’m just going to say that Gimrizh doesn’t handle it well and seriously regrets what she does in the aftermath.
Some of her more minor regrets are what she does on Baras’ orders. She seriously regrets going after the War Trust, because while she holds no love for the Republic, she also had no desire to restart the war. She’s also sorry that she had to hunt down Jaesa, even though she obviously makes lightside choices, and Jaesa joins up on her own free will, Gimrizh regrets having to forcibly tear Jaesa away from the life she knew. She also regrets leaving the slave collar on Vette, she doesn’t take it off until Nar Shaddaa and even though Vette doesn’t ask, she feels terrible later because she actually sort of forgets about it.
