Most Noble || Andromeda and Merlin
The house was desperately cold. All day. All night. Cold, cold, cold. When you looked out of the window, it was easy to see that the gardens were not well tended. That they had not been in years. Out, far out, there was the concrete boundary of the Black Manor. It was once hedges-- she had been told-- but when one of the Black Ancestors had run away through a whole in it, the plant had been uprooted, stone and concerete placed in it's stead. Sometimes, she felt like that. She turned around at the sound of a loud clattering. Her wide eyes settled on nothing but the clumsy boy. She looked dully at the him. He was picking up her clothes. dropping other things too, but the sounds of it. She watched him with a misguided, restless fascination. She stood up, paced a little bit and glided through the room, looking at her room. A room made for two; occupied by one, now. "You're supposed to bow when I come near you, you know, boy?" She said, but her tone was bored. Her tone was unconcerned. Andromeda, at twenty, was a waxy, sunken eyed woman. She was short and thin, but her skin seemed too big for her, like she'd lost a lot of weight very quickly. She was hardly ever seen without a cigarette-- she didn't have one then. Still smelled of muggle smokes-- they had to be muggle smokes-- but for now her hands were empty. She hardly ever dressed herself anymore. She just stayed in her large room with a dressing gown on. It wasn't as if she ever expected to leave here. She didn't want to leave. Because of this, she didn't even know Merlin's name. Just that there was a new servant around, a servant which--might she add-- was apparently very clumsy.
