May I ask:

What are your thoughts on NATO and Finland & NATO?

What are your thoughts on that Russia has threatened Sweden and Finland if they tried joining NATO?

If you don’t want to answer, that’s ok.

Honestly I don't know enough about NATO to give a good opinion on it but I'm sure I will learn more in the next few days. This crisis will definitely make Finnish people more willing to join NATO. Many people have been undecided and not really against it. 

I believe that if Russia tries to attack Finland then Finland and Sweden will join NATO. I'm sure NATO is very keen on keeping Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania from falling to Russia. It would be really bad to allow Russia more access to the Baltic Sea.

The thing is we would prefer not to join. We really don't want another war with Russia. We want to trade with Russia. We want to stay as neutral and diplomatic as possible.

Too bad that seems to be impossible now. Putin has stopped the discussions. If we join NATO Putin might use that as an excuse to attack. But if we already feel threatened then surely there is nothing to lose by joining?

I don’t currently see any signs of our government being shaken by the threats. It’s the same song Putin has been singing since 2015 and was very much expected. If anything it really shows how scared he is. But of course it is worrying and I’m glad other countries reacted to it so negatively ♥
