Shockwave muses aloud, eyeing them inquisitively.

"Although you are a little diminutive compared to most of my experiments."

"Orion Pax. I do not believe we have met. My designation is Shockwave. Megatron sent me to help aid with your research on the Iacon Database."

They nod in greeting, and turn to face the screens.

"I am more of a scientist than a linguist, but I hope I can be of assistance."

Shockwave had been living on the edge of Kaon when the decepitcons first took power. They never lived in the city centres, too many distractions, but they needed the resources they provided to continue their research.

The only thought they had when Megatron announced his victory to all was what supply issues they'd face after the change of power. Although it would delay his work (unacceptable) relocating was most likely necessary.

They'd been preparing to pack their labatory down when Starscream had paid them a visit. They did care much for the screeching Seeker's grovelling, but the invitation to an audience with Lord Megatron intrigued him. Perhaps he wouldn't have to restart his operations after all.

Up until this point they had always been neutral, fighting the Quintessons had been a necessity, taking political sides after their downfall held no interest. If they hadn't been sought out, they never would have attempted to join the decepticons. They had no interest in its cause or rhetoric, the system had never worked against their favour.

However, they didnt need brainwashing into decepticon ideals. Megatron seemed to know this as at their meeting he offered them all of the resources they needed to continue, unimpeded by rules and regulations.

Shockwave was pragmatic, logical, a scientist through and through, but ethics were never a concern of theirs.

So of course they agreed.
