Haha! You just gave those people one of the best cocktail party stories they’ll ever have. Not even kidding, I bet they’re secretly pleased it happened (b/c it’s not like it ended badly); everyone needs a good story in their back pocket!
Haha, yeah, I hope so! It is probably true, though, they were so nice (they probably saw how utterly shocked/petrified I was) and were joking and said it was 'a nice bit of excitement' and stuff, so they probably won't call my employer and have me fired or something so that's good but omg it was so close to a disaster because a few more seconds and the alarms would've gone off and omg I daren't even think about it :D

On my first day at my job I called my own phone from my work phone (see if it worked) and then I looked at my phone and saw that I had a missed call. So I called up the number (to the reception) and asked who’d called me and it was all very confusing
Oh haha :D Last summer I phoned up the head of the company I was working at just before nine in the morning, but I didn't know he was in London, so for him it was just before seven and he sounded cross and that's, to date, the second worst mistake I've done at work. I'm so scared of failure at work that I get absolutely horrified when stuff happens, although stuff does happen and that's life and all, but I'm nowhere near grownup enough to be able to deal with this stuff in a constructive manner, I just laugh and cry. :D
