Look what came in the mail!  time for a quick diversion to LIVEBLOG DS9 which i am watching for the first time in 4 months; s4e21 “for the cause”

garek’s horror at ziyal’s sauna proposition (the proposition... that there be a sauna) is so gorgeous. he’s upset. i’m so grateful. i’m so glad we were introduced to this so far impenetrable b-plot via the continued romantic difficulties of julian bashir, my terrrrrrible self-insert 

also i’m so weirdly fond of sisko. i also love that his total failure to explain anything to jake (correctly, due to protocol) and also his total failure to not be super weird about everything means that as far as jake is concerned, sisko was like [clutches arm intensely] “jake, my son, the fact that you like peppermint lattes and biscotti now Will Not Change Our Love For Each Other”
