I'm one hand down. The first hand was relatively easy but the second his causing major problems. Every time I go to grab his hand he completely moves his whole body. I just went to grab it again and I'm 99.9% sure he muttered "I don't want to clip my nails". I whispered back "what?" And he muttered "no". I whispered "no what?" & he gently said "nothing" and rolled over. He's on to me. 😂 But I just want to get this done so I can sleep 😭

I have today off, so I took E to his baby class. Not only did he tantrum the whole way through, several people came up to tell me how he’s “usually so good for his mom,” aka, our nanny. #facepalm
Please tell me I'm not alone in having to remind my husband on a near daily basis that watching the child is not the same thing as sitting two rooms away and whistling and snapping at him like a dog when he tries to break into the kitchen while I'm cooking dinner/peeing/working/hiding in the bathroom and crying (that last one hasn't happened ... yet)?
We made it home from Colorado today with almost no problems other than the bee-eye-tee-see-h in front of us putting her seat back and then huffing and puffing every time E knocked her seat (putting your seat back when you're in economy plus and the person behind you with a toddler is in economy is absolutely a declaration of war and my toddler was my foot soldier). Despite it all going really, really well, I totally just stood in my kitchen and took a swig out of an open bottle of wine. Traveling with toddler is rough man.
I try to be this mom. Sometimes I fail. And that's okay too. E is already such an adventurous boy and has so much fun at the playground. I try to step in only when it looks likely he'll be hurt. It's actually really hard. But I think it's good for him.
