thats what i was going for with the tongue but its not so much a tongue

some ideas ive had so for for mothman shane

thick thighs for launching off the ground and bounding from tree to tree

large razor sharp talons on his feet for branch gripping and holding down unsuspecting prey (dont worry, hes a venison kinda guy)

wings for flying, d u h (though i haven’t really illustrated just how massive his wingspan is because i have a hard damn time drawing bird like wings)

proboscis but now that im thinking about it doesn’t make much sense if he has teeth... maybe they’re just for tearing and pulling flesh and he uses his proboscis to drink blood? idk

antanae for smelling (i didn’t know this actually). I had an a/b/o shyan au i was working on and now this seems really interesting for that 😈

i made his ears pointed because i wanted him to have some sort of a fae look to him.

i wanted to do another drawing of him wearing like.... roughly made accessories made out of wood, fibers, and shiny objects he found on the ground.

O no Spooks what happens when Ryan wakes up in the last ask? Did Shane just,, leave him there? Or did he take Ryan somewhere else? Are his friends worrying because Ryan’s missing now?

When Ryan awakes he’s on the floor of a cave, the sound of dripping water echoing. There’s a figure, broad with wings standing in the shadows. It was real, he was real. “M-mothman?” Ryan asks, voice cracking from nervousness. “A little insulting, I prefer Shane.” Ryan isn’t sure if he wants to laugh or cry or throw up. His friends surely have to be wondering where he went by now, as the sun’s starting to peak. “Shane?” “Yes,” The creature steps forwards, showing off his antenna and wings. “My name is Shane; seriously, you get wings and a few freaky moth features and all of the sudden you’ve got a label.”

Little mouse is an odd yet satisfying concept also this is the mothman!shane I never thought I’d write

A stick cracks beneath Ryan’s feet and he lets out a scared squeak of panic. This dare had gone too far, but he wasn’t going to bail out just for the sake of his ego. What kind of sadistic friends make you walk through a forest all by yourself at night to catch some dumb moth cryptid that probably doesn’t exist? Ryan’s friends, apparently.

He walks further into the shrubs, palms sweating as he hears a noise. He’s going to die, no fucking doubt. His voice gives out a shriek like noise that makes him slap a hand over his mouth, wanting to be as far away from the weird ruffling noise as possible. He jumps back when a soft, tempting voice speaks.“Come out and play, little mouse. I’ll treat you right.”
