i think wyll should have been the one with the astral prism and i do actually have a line of reasoning to follow here

1. the githyanki's pact for the red dragons is with tiamat, who lives in avernus and was formerly its archduchess

2. hanging on to the astral prism containing orpheus would have been the ultimate insurance policy; vlaakith can't stab tiamat in the back if it means tiamat might expose her and free the prince of the comet

3. wyll made his pact with mizora to fight off a cult of tiamat that was attempting to summon her

4. "the astral prism was stolen from tiamat and zariel subsequently tasked mizora with retrieving it to make the queen of chromatic dragons shut the fuck up" makes more sense than "shadowheart and the sharrans stole the prism for??? reasons???"

5. shadowheart was being groomed as the eventual chosen of shar; finding the nightsong should have always been her mission

6. this brings wyll's backstory into the plot in a more active way and gives him an internal conflict to struggle with

7. most importantly: wyll desperately needs more content

WELP. broke the news to bf and it went as expected.

he cried for an hour, sobbing about plans and our future, straight up told me he's not going to "be able to" use any new pronouns or names i try, got better for a little bit but is obviously near suicidal right now, periodically sobbing and just generally incredibly upset. he spent like an hour yesterday going back through his phone and finding pictures to show me if when i was skinny with short hair in highschool and talking about how cute i was. he's acting like I died or something.

as expected, he's really focused on how this all is going to be hard for him. i can expect no support, but i wasn't really expecting support from him anyway. it still hurts, though. he's trans too and you'd think that'd mean he would be more accepting but he's also got some mental illness he's not interested in working on so i guess that cancels out.

bummer day yesterday, bummer day this morning when he wakes up moping like he lost a family member. I just really hope this is a knee jerk reaction and he'll calm down and be normal about it, if this is just how he's going to act then he's going to force me to choose between living who I am and dating him

chat is it normal that after a multiday crash out about my gender my (normally subby brat) bf has decided that he's going to try to dom me now that I use she/her. he's also having a really hard time using anything but they/them outside of a sexual context.

I floated the idea of shaving my face past the bf, he had an extended brat session about it (where he's bratting, as usual, but there's a harder edge in there of being genuinely upset about something) and then in the come-down admitted he really really didn't want me to shave (fine to want, i think)

the part that was weird to me was that he said he was worried I would look different and he'd stop liking how I look? (In the moment I'm pretty sure he said 'stop liking you' but i think that was genuinely just a misspeak) and like. I guess I'm just asking - am I justified in being a little upset by that? Is it normal to have that kind of like, idk, standard for your significant other?

It also does not bode well for the transition if shaving my face has this kind of effect. I'm trying to collect my thoughts before confronting him with the news that I'm more trans than he thinks. I'm worried about it, but I'm weirdly like. idunno. I've been stressing about this conversation for weeks, even months. If it goes poorly it goes poorly. This is the one benefit to the amazing egg power of completely dissociating from my emotions to keep moving forward.
