9. How do they feel about each other's exes and people who flirt with them? Is jealousy an issue in general?
sorry this took so long i had to talk about zilvurra and mystra. buckle in
part of the reason i changed zilvurra’s age is bc a full grown adult should not relate to olivia rodrigo the way zilvurra does. she is obsessed with mystra and the relationship gale had to her.
she learned of the seven sisters very young and clung to the image of Qilue. chosen of eilistraee and mystra alike and tangential child to them both. thats glamor, power. its attention like nothing she’s ever held and she obsesses over her. even in their moment of the weave zilvurra was not totally convinced of mystra’s presence and almost believed it to be Qilue who has been a “weave ghost” since 1379.
this reverence (among other things) means she cannot hold anger with mystra. she feels frustration and jealousy but she never held the specifics against her. Zilvurra knew who Gale was and what he did. she did not know how it might damage mystra or the weave but she trusted that the goddess was not spurning him to be petty. he did something foolishly detrimental and damaged himself as a consequence.
now!! it is important to note that the mystra that created the seven sisters is not the same mystra that gale knew. that one (i think?) is Midnight who was resurrected in 1479, returning to full power in 1487. (gale was 20 in 1479, zilvurra was 23 and leaving amphail)
14. What's an opinion they'll never agree on? How do they deal with that?
despite his framing of the tale, Zilvurra had a difficult time believing Gale sought out that primal weave for Mystra.
in her head, he did it for himself because he believed he was the only one clever and powerful enough to take care of himself if mystra continued to doubt him.
she was not the most trusting of wizards for reasons including morality and class (will touch on this) so she already felt foolish developing a crush on him. she was convinced she lost him the moment he found karsite tome, that he would not resist the pull again even if it killed him. in the end she was mistaken, but still.
she told him this when, according to her, elminster sentenced him. that he betrayed his goddess and insisting that it was for selfless purposes was what he, as a man, needed to believe and not the truth.
she kicked him while he was down then told him she would not let him die when the time came. it was emotional whiplash but it was a promise. maybe he just trusted her more than she trusted him in that moment.
it didnt come up very much after their adventure if you could believe it
