Street scene in Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier, Bourbonnais region of France
French vintage postcard
After analyzing the site of Motier, here is the project of a wine bar and all its infrastructure. This project was developed over several months, starting from the implantation to finish by the construction at 1:20. The two buildings play with each other with a certain tension, and make it possible to create an outer courtyard. Each has their specific assignments.
Only wood constructions were accepted for this project. The structure of the building is made of prefabricated wooden framework, and large posts support the beams which have a range of 9m maximum. The supporting structure is therefore apparent, also that which supports the roof and which leaves to create an eaves of 1.50 meters. Although Motier is in a valley, the village is airy. The numerous openings on the courtyard allow the conference room to benefit from maximum brightness and visibility.
Construction, 1:20, wood.
