Up until now I've imported images from Photoshop or Illustrator and used very basic effects to create work. But just taking half an hour once in a while to play with the in-built effects in After Effects has made me realise I've hardly scratched at the surface of what's possible. This is experiment 11 from http://motionworks.net/experiments/ The bottom layer is an orange solid. Next one up contains CCthreads and a Fast blur which comes in at 10 secs. Part 2 - Exactly the same settings Light Burst and Fractal but throwing Flo Motion into the mix. I found my computer really struggled to render all three effects. Tried cutting it down but still no luck.
