hey everyone! i’m going to try my best going forward to include moto riders in the lower categories and more in my weekly women in motorsport updates, as well as devoting more info to them over on the server. if you wanna help me out with any information as to how motorbike racing works and how the ladder shapes up, as well as any riders to look out for we can talk here via ask or head to my f1 academy discord!
and if this is your first time seeing me, i’m maggie i run an f1 academy blog and @womeninmotorsport-fest and hoping to branch out to all forms of women in racing as much as i can
Ai got only P8 in Q2 and finished the sprint outside the points, Anina crashed on the last lap after being in P1 for the entire race and loses her championship lead... not a good saturday for me and my favs🥲
I am really passionate about girls and women in motorsport, so I want to introduce some of the next generation of women in MotoGP because they are surely not talked about enough and deserve every support. Everyone knows and loves Maria Herrera and Ana Carrasco, probably the two lost influencial women for girls and motorcycle racing, but there's also many girls who are currently racing on the road to MotoGP and don't get the recognition they deserve. Part two: Anina Urlaß
Competing in: Moto4 Northern Cup, Moto4 European Cup (Wildcard)
Nationality: German
Age: 15 (*2010)
Anina is currently competing her second full season in the Moto4 Northern Cup, as one of two girls on the grid. She gave her debut in 2024 mid-season (her birthday is in July and you need to be at least 14 to enter, so she had to wait). Her first full season was 2025, where she had multiple podiums and finished 4th in the overall standings.
Currently, as of June 4th, '26, she is the championship leader with 85 points after four races.
She is the first girl to lead a Moto4/Talent Cup championship
This season, she got pole in all qualifyings, one win and three second places in the races
She is the first female rider to win a race on the road to MotoGP since Maria Herrera, and the first one ever to win a race in Moto4/Talent Cup
If she could learn from any rider in MotoGP or WSBK, she'd chose Fabio Quartararo
One of her role models is Taru Rinne
Her favorite animal is a flamingo and it's her superstition to wear flamingo socks for every race
Before joining Moto4, she competed in the Austrian MiniMoto, where she became the champion in 2023.
Guys she's my fav rider, please support her! The next race weekend will be this weekend in Balaton Park, Hungary and all races can be watched on Youtube. I'm convinced that she'll be the next woman in Moto3!
(Btw: If you don't have the ß on your keyboard, write her name as "Urlass" not "Urlab", it's not a b!)
