Updates on the hogs.
To reiterate everyone in the house does have a bike now. Sawyer has run into continuous issues with getting her license, but she is still riding and picking it up wonderfully on her 2003 Klr 650. Did you know the DMV does not accept government issued passport cards as a government issued form of id. No sense, no sense at all. Also for all you people without your birth certificate wanting to get a license, you can order a copy of it from the hospital records department in the county of your birth for a nominal fee! Annyan has run into issues with fuel supply, and misfiring on her Suzuki GS500e. It doesn't sound like it will take too much money to get it running straight. We will start with a few spark plugs, and some wires . Also does she want to take that bike on an 8000 mile ride? Not too many choices for a 5'2" bad ass little lady. Bobbert the giant with a 1993 Suzuki GSX1100g hasn't had many issues with his cycle at all. Other than the fact our parking spots are covered with debris and he has now dropped it twice. Sliding while pulling in, and snapping his break lever. Some people don't learn. He is having an issue with one of his carbs leaking gas, but ONLY when it's cold in the early mornings. Weird right? He has been taking many cruises out in East county, experimenting with his new video camera. Footage coming soon! Sol our resident mechanic, and introvert has completely taken apart his klr685, a couple times through his journey with it. His bike is the most modified, a beauty indeed, always changing. His bike is good to go other than a leaking base gasket. Of which he has a replacement, but he is putting it off to take time to work on my bike. So his top end is smeared with blue gasket sealer haha. Quite a site. He is more prepared than anyone as far as gear goes. He has been prepared for a couple months thanks to his end of the world kit. He did just buy a pannier kit, 150$, and found the ammo cans at our local swap meet for 20 bucks each. Pretty exciting. Now to my beast. My 2007 Klr650 was purchased for 900, I think I have now invested 1300 including registration. Which was 400$. Did I get yanked or what. I could have bought a complete running one for that, with racks. The difference is I get the assurance that a new top end brings, everything that I replaced is something less to worry about on the road. I (by I, I mean Sol while I assist) have replaced the cylinder assembly, taken off the gear cover because the chain fell off, replaced the clutch, numerous gaskets, cleaned the carb twice, clutch the water pump is broken, fixing that today though! My bike may be in running order today! I have said that every weekend for the past 4 though. The dick I bought it from ran the bike out of oil, it seized on him, and there was metal everywhere, except the piston. Far too easy to do from what I hear. Check your oil when you get gas. Please.
