Kudos to this company! Even with time zone & language barriers, their customer service is great! I own 8 of their drives which hold 4 years of work on documentaries & human interest stories. That’s appx 20 terabytes of footage. This is the replacement for my 8th external hard drive for my run-n-gun documentary filmmaking. I know thunderbolt drives would give me better editing speeds, but these babies hold up SO FRIGGING WELL! My silicon power hard drives have traveled in backpacks on back of my motorcycles across the US on 2 #motorcyclecannonball runs, down Natchez Trace, across Rt 66 and numerous other cross country trips. They are compact & tough & reliable. I look at other brands who claim to have sturdy drives, even purchased a very well known company’s drive as a temporary replacement for this one, but always come back to these. They are that good. I got this replacement because something happened & I wasn’t sure if it was the drive or some other issue.
