Jungkook knew that uni life on campus would be different. But this wasn't exactly the kind of thing he expected when he moved in.
Exams were finally over, and all Jungkook wanted to do was sleep until 2pm the next day. Unfortunately the people on the floor above were having a party. The ceiling was thumping muffled beats and poor tired Jungkook couldn't get to sleep even with ear plugs in. With an exhausted sigh the student decided to open his laptop and watch some YouTube videos. He plugged in his headphones and had to turn it up so he could hear.
It was about midnight when Jungkook heard a loud thump from the hallway. Curiosity getting the better of him he poked his head out of his door and into the hallway.
Across the hall was none other than his friendly neighbor, Taehyung. He was dressed in nothing but a sheet that was stylishly wrapped around him like a toga, he also had leaves in his hair and in a basket down next to his bare feet as he used string and sticky tape to hang the leaves above the door across from him. Jungkook wondered where the leaves came from for a moment, since they were on the fourth floor of the building, before he realized his neighbor was probably drunk.
"Kookie!" Taehyung turned around after being satisfied with the hanging leaves, his hair was still that unnatural shade of lilac he dyed it as a dare a week ago.
"Hey," Jungkook replied awkwardly, having been caught staring at his neighbor. "I didn't know there was a costume party going on up stairs." He said as he opened the door a bit more and lent on the door frame.
Taehyung looked utterly confused at him for a moment. "Is it?" He asked before picking up his basket of leaves and string and stepping forward. Jungkook found himself stepping to the side and leaning on the hallway wall as Taehyung started sticking leaves above his door.
"You weren't up there? I thought that's why you were down here doing..." Jungkook gestured to his neighbor lamely. "Are you drunk?" He blurted out after.
Taehyung laughed loudly in response. "Nah, I'm not drunk and I haven't been up stairs." He smiled widely.
"Then why on earth are you doing this? It's midnight." Jungkook frowned and pointed to the basket of leaves.
"I thought the hallway needed some decorating." Taehyung responded as if it was completely normal. "And I couldn't be bothered getting dressed properly." He added. Jungkook looked him over again. How could the elaborate wrapping of his 'toga' be easier than throwing on a t-shirt and trakies he will never know.
Jungkook just watches as Taehyung skips down the hall to the next door to decorate. At least the party upstairs was over and he could finally go to sleep.
