Hello from Rugova Canyon in Kosovo! Riding this canyon was an absolute dream. It has huge jaggedy mountains on both sides and a super narrow sketchy road where sometimes only one car could fit. Kosovo is a hidden treasure with so much beautiful nature. Of course ya girl also hiked in her clunky moto boots down a rickety broken metal ladder to this waterfall. Worth falling and scraping my hands and knees? Absolutely. I love exploring cities, but nature always heals me. Sometimes it’s nice not wearing all 10 lbs of moto gear walking around the city. I feel so much lighter and I don’t have to do this whole process of taking off gloves, helmet, headphones, disconnecting charging cords, rolling them up to put in my pockets, locking my bike, etc etc. Do you prefer exploring in regular human clothes or moto gear? Happy Monday y’all! 😺 How was your weekend? Riding through Albania has been such a pleasant surprise. The beaches, rivers and mountains have been such a treat to ride alongside and visit. I have to be honest. Not everything is picture perfect. The majority of these roads have been absolutely littered with trash. So far, Albania has the worst litter problem I’ve ever seen. It’s very disheartening and I feel hopeless riding through hundreds of miles/ kilometers of this scene and not being able to change this mentality. I’ve seen so many people just throw their trash out the window while they are driving. Even some of the friends I made in Albania have this habit. Travel is so interesting. It forces me to be even more open minded and accepting of other peoples’ worlds when I am not around like minded people. It’s not hard for me to accept others differences because I know I can’t control other people, but it is hard for me to accept life choices that I feel like are cardinal rules for the privilege of existing as a human, like not littering. Does anyone else have these thoughts?
