The Motorised Crock Meter is designed to determine the color fastness of dyed or printed textiles and leather when subjected to rubbing, under both dry and wet conditions. In this test, a brass finger of specified shape and size moves across the test specimen, and the amount of color transferred to an abradant fabric is measured. Results are evaluated using standard grey scales to assess color fastness.
