Specialty Dishes at Las Vegas’ Mott 32 Chinese Restaurant

After serving as a preconstruction and hospitality manager for Hedrick Brothers Construction, Brian Vanderburgh founded VDB Properties in Lantana, Florida. Among the projects Brian Vanderburgh has facilitated is the Mott 32 restaurant in Las Vegas. Located on the casino floor of the Venetian Resort, its name honors New York City’s first Chinese food store at 32 Mott Street. Spun off from an award-winning eatery in Hong Kong, Mott 32 specializes in Cantonese, Szechuan, and Beijing cuisine. Several entrees stand out on the menu: - Peking Duck. Taking 48 hours to prepare and cook, this dish can be roasted in the Beijing and Cantonese styles. The chefs use the traditional royal cut and cook the skin to be crispy and smoky. The duck is served with scallions, cucumber, and steamed pancakes, and accompanied by garlic sauce and a house specialty hoisin sauce. - Barbara Pluma Iberico Pork. Served with yellow mountain honey, this dish features meat from pigs raised on herbs, acorns, and grass. The barbecuing gives it a rich flavor and a charred texture. - Dim Sum. Mott 32 updates traditional recipes with new culinary ideas for this popular entree. One is the soft-boiled quail egg, set inside a pork sui mui with a black truffle.

MOTT 32 @Hong Kong http://mott32.com 홍콩섬 금융가 스탠다드 차터드 빌딩에 있는 아주 좋은 중국집 예약이 힘들고 예약당 2시간이 식사시간인데, 홍콩데모 덕분에 택시 잡기가 힘들어 늦게 도착하여 이 집에서 제일 유명한 요리인 오리구이를 못먹은게 마냥 아쉽다. 다른 요리 맛도 아주 멋스러웠기에 오리요리가 무척 아쉬웠다. 암튼 홍콩 최고의 집!!~
