Masters of the Universe (MOTU) mashup challenge: 2025 Big Films / summer blockbusters - I chose to do a He-Man version of Mission Impossible 8 (The Final Reckoning), where the antagonist Gabriel (now Skeletor) turns his aircraft upside down in order to make the protagonist Ethan Hunt (now He-Man) fall to his death.

MOTU + Peanuts mashup: Catra as Lucy Van Pelt

Back in 2021 there was a Halloween #motudrawingchallenge for "The Great Pumpkin" which I missed, but was inspired by. So I decided I would make He-Man MOTU characters into Peanuts characters just on my own.

I had already planned which characters I was going to draw and had finished my first drawing when a week later a new drawing challenge ("Masters of Spring") came out. Coincidentally, the theme for one of the challenges (for May 3) was Peanuts / Charlie Brown. Fortuitous!

For my fifth and last (but certainly not least) drawing, I knew I wanted to draw Lucy Van Pelt. I couldn't think of anyone suitable from the He-Man MOTU cartoon, so I went to She-Ra Princess of Power for inspiration. I decided that the character "Catra" would be a good fit, since both characters have a mean streak. Catra is always scowling and Lucy is known to be crabby.

Additionally, both are brunettes.

I made her dress blue instead of red and changed the shape of the collar from pointy to scalloped (to match what Lucy wears in the Peanuts comics). I kept Catra's headpiece but changed the hair to match Lucy's.

And although it's hard to tell (because i ran out of room at the bottom), i tried to make her boots in the style of saddle shoes like the kind Lucy wears. Lastly, she is standing next to her psychiatry booth.
