I’ve been really missing you these past few days. I miss you every day, because who wouldn’t miss their best friend when they’re halfway around thwe world? But for a couple days it’ been really awful. I support you 100%, and I admire your decision to go into the Air Force, but that doesn’t mean I’m happy about the fact that they took you thousands of miles away from me.

Last night I had a dream that you were home and my god I was just so happy. And we just got to be round each other like old times and do whatever we wanted and it just felt so fucking real. I was so wrapped up in it that I woke up at 4:30 in the morning thinking it was all real. I was so heartbroken when reality set in.

But learning that you might be coming home for Christmas?? That was the greatest thing I’ve ever heard. I read that text and I burst out into tears in the middle of my university’s parking lot. I can’t wait till you’re home again, even if it’s just for a little while. You giving me that little bit of news made these past few stressful as fuck weeks worth it.

I’ll be counting the days.

I sit down to write a quick letter to touch base with my friend in Germany.... And here I am three pages later drowning in emotions and tears because it sucks that my best friend is halfway around the world.

I'd like to take a moment and be thankful for the fact that even though he's on the other side of the world I can still text Dan when I'm nervous about presentations and he'll give me reassurance and let me ramble like the emotional blob I am. I was freaking out about my poetry reading today and he was the first person I texted and he was like 20 kinds of supportive. Bless that boy.

Sent out my first letter out to Dan today. I can't wait till he gets it oh lord I'm so excited. 😁💕
