She almost calls out, asking for him to stay, but she doesn’t want to sound desperate, and he likely took her curt responses as a request to be left alone. It was a correct assumption, but now that Yuu is by herself again, she realizes that wasn’t what she wanted at all. She can’t stand the thought of being around anyone, but the loneliness seeping into her is only dredging up a hopelessness from the pit of her stomach, asking her what the point in any of this is if she’ll be haunted by the war forever. They won in the end, but most days, it doesn’t feel like it’s over at all.
