When you stand at the sea side in Coron, the Mount Tapyas doesn’t look so big. But to walk up the 720 steps to the top is quite far to climb under the burning sun. But once you arrived on top, it’s definitely worth the great view you get from there. Especially the beauty of a sunset is great! This picture was taken a few minutes before sunset, the light is still much but already in a wonderful golden color.

Mount Tapyas above Coron enjoying the sunset, picking the last sun beams before the sun is going down. An impressive view with all those islands and the sea so flat. A must visit when you are in Coron.
After a 720 steps up the Mount Tapyas, you get a great view of the entire landscape arround Coron. It's definitely worth it to walk up the hill. But I suggest not to do so during the lunch time as it's too hot and there are not many places where you can hide from the sun. Once you are on top of the hill, you have an amazing 360 degrees view! Only a very small part of those 360 degrees is the part of Coron Island which you can see in the picture. In the evening hours you can see all the small boats comeing back from their day trips. Seems like ants who comes from every edge. Somewhere on the right side is also the very famous Kayangan Lake.
