To see an active volcano. Done ✅ I’ve hiked Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak before, which is a an extinct volcano in Jeju Island. But this was the first time I’d peered into the crater of an active volcano. Surprisingly, it was very peaceful out there. There was no fire, no heat, no demons wielding pitchforks. It did smell though – that sulphurous rotten egg scent. I’m not religious but, as I stared into the smoking crater, I found myself praying, like the local villagers, that Mount Bromo was enjoying its quiet slumber... 🌋🙏🏻 #thingstodoinlife #mountbromocrater #mountbromo #indonesia #volcanoesindonesia (at Mount Bromo)
