Back to the beautiful mountains. I was determined to get to the top of the little peak we can see from our hotel so I ran and then hiked the path up to it. I almost made it to the top but the last 30 meters I judged to be be too risky for me to climb, as I was alone. There’s more to this story than I’m going to share at this point, but this was the beautiful part of my run/hike. I’m grateful for where my running, albeit slow, can take me. This afternoon I ran up one of the sides of mount Taygetos again. I swear I have fallen in love with this place. I was so close to the top of that part of the mountain but I had to turn back as the storm expected was coming my way. I quickly turned back and in a few minutes the clouds had covered where I had been. I ran down as fast as I could but had to stop to take some pictures, I just had to. At times I was running through the clouds, I have never actually breathed in a cloud.
