In Mourning & The Final Farewell. Sculpting these two has been a saving grace for me. Inspired by mourning brooches of the past and I made them my own. The thoughts of someone 150 years before me carving out the same shape was a moment that felt dear to me. They could have never known how inspiring their work would be to me. These two were made with the intention to be something of a comfort to the wearer. In Mourning clutches her cloth after she dries her eyes. The Final Farewell between loved ones.
