"Hmm. You don't want to know." He let his eyes go out of focus, retreating back into his thoughts, but after a moment began speaking aloud anyway as though unaware he was doing so. "...Strange, how the world works. So many twisting avenues of fate and coincidences and events that are perfectly planned, all weaving together to create stories greater than any fiction. And no matter how certain we are one moment, the next could bring so much change." His voice was musing, meandering through the churning of his mind. "...All I have is my work, because without it my mind pains me. I cannot be idle, it's not physically possible for me to cope with such a state. And so, I have parted myself from every avenue that could lead to it." He was quiet a for a long few moments. "I'm sifting through everything I have stored, trying to find... something I must have missed..." he finally said, his voice a barely audible mumble.
