im having rottmnt brainrot (call that brainrottmnt lmao anyways) so here are some thoughts i had
i just wanted to point out that the link between emotions and their mystic powers is so cool?? like it all connects and you kind of slowly realize it as the shows goes on
mikey ends up the “most powerful mystic warrior” why??? cuz he’s the most emotionally driven character!! out of all the brothers, he is the most outwardly emotional and in tune with what he’s feeling most of the time, therefore it just makes sense that he would be able to understand and harness their mystic abilities the best!!
and then on the other end, you have donnie, who is the last to accept the mystic powers (he literally outright refuses at first in favor of just relying on his technology like he’s used to) because he’s the least emotionally driven!!!! and the fact that he gets so frustrated with his brothers for just *getting* the whole mystic thing while he can’t grasp it is SO INTERESTING AUGH and it explores his low empathy in a unique way!
and i would also like to point out that all the moments (mostly in the movie) where they unlock stronger and more elaborate forms of their abilities in moments of high emotional tension is just perfect
