Finally migraine free after two days straight and headache free after a week! These were in addition to mundane efforts (rest, hydration, nourishing food, EO roll-ons and arnica CBD cream) and prescription + OTC medications. I did create a new sigil and add that on as well, but didn’t get a pic.
My muscles are relaxed
Ease my migraine
Ease my neck pain
My headache goes away
My back is relaxed and free from pain
My pain is manageable
My shoulders are relaxed and free from pain (not pictured)
If you’re looking for a more discreet way to use sigils to help with symptoms, here are a few tips:
Draw somewhere that can be easily covered
Draw with oils, balms, pain cream or lotion.
Draw with water and let it evaporate, or by tracing your finger on your skin
Draw on the inside of a bandaid (also nice because you can place it wherever you’d like if there’s a certain spot the pain feels worse)
Draw on a piece of paper and keep it on your person
I will say I personally find these more effective if they’re physically on your body, but I’ve definitely had sigils work while drawn on paper and in my pocket. There is something to be said about the gentleness of drawing on your hopes for ease and improvement, and the tangibility of something you can see when so much of your suffering and efforts feel invisible.

I have ten nature journals (and a final project) due next Wednesday to complete the master naturalist program. I’ve been spending a ton of time in the field but slacking when it comes to journaling about it, so I’m catching up today!
I had to finish the Saw-whet and California Tortoiseshell pages today because I was hit with some joint pain and unable to write clearly and then forgot to finish them.
My goal is to get the sketches done for all five (I’ve done Mourning Cloak and American Avocet so far), and maybe add some color. I’ve been using this homework as a way to play around with some art mediums (and subjects) I’m less familiar with, but I couldn’t resist doing a few tracking-focused ones!
I’ve been slowly building my wool collection which makes each winter more comfortable than the last! I made the bag many, many years ago, the lighter leather was my great grandfather’s (who died before I was born which means the leather is likely much older than me). The darker leather I traded elderberry syrup for a big piece of it from a friend who bow hunts for meat.
Debating driving to an area that I know Short-eared Owls like to hunt in for Superb Owl Sunday.
Luckily it’s not like one small area that draws birders, it’s a whole valley and if you’re lucky you’ll find one. I strongly dislike when birders mob together looking for owls and I refuse to be a part of that.
My sweet boy is home from the animal hospital ❤️ 2025 keeps on hitting me while I’m down and I’ve honestly been feeling sorry for myself the last few days. But I got to bring him home earlier than expected, the bill was lower than anticipated (still thousands) and there was a rainbow over our valley when I got home. I’ve managed to hold onto hope despite a year full of loss and hardship and so much bullshit, and I believe some gentler times are in the near future.
Helped a local seamstress catch up on her orders in exchange for a large box of apples, so it’s time to make the first apple chips of the season! ❤️
One advantage to the cats insisting on a 4am breakfast is I caught the eclipse in totality!
