Another mouse doll! This time a little mousetronaut. She looks different than the other one because i based her on one of my mice (Shoeby). She was kept in a shoebox before i adopted her so everything that happens is always a crazy mindblowing adventure to her. One time she accidentally climbed on top of the cage and just sat there waiting for me to put her back, that's what inspired me to sculpt her as a little astronaut. She has absolutely no brain but a brave heart and i love her very much. Because of the wire skeleton this mouse can stand on it's own which is a lot more convenient compared to the first one i made a while ago.
is that back?
everything’s back.
Hi Kate, Please recommend 3- 4 titles for a precocious 4 1/2 year old for Nana to read to him over Zoom. He loves all things space, planes, animals but also a good story! Thanks so much! Kathy
Hi Kathy! For the space, planes, and animal-loving 4.5 year old, Kate recommends:
Blue Ridge Babies 1, 2, 3 by Laura Sperry Gardner (A counting book featuring animal babies of the Blue Ridge Mountains)
Tiny Little Rocket by Richard Collingridge (A great bedtime book that takes kids all around space and then back home)
Mousetronaut by Mark Kelly (The smallest mouse saves the day on a space mission. Written by a real astronaut!)
James' Reading Rescue by Dianna Wilson Sirkovsky (A boy who has trouble reading practices by reading to a cat at an animal shelter)
Fly by Nathan Clement (A step-by-step book about the process of taking a trip in a plane, from the perspective of a child traveler)
I hope he likes these! Let us know if you need any more recs - and if you're local, I highly recommend our Surprise Bag service :)
Do you realize that my favorite person in the world, Astronaut Mark Kelly, has written two children's books about a mouse in outerspace? AND THAT HE CALLS THE LITTLE GUY MOUSETRONAUT?
Perfect person is perfect.
