Me ranting, per usual...

Overt puritanical religious views runs too much of this country via the GOP, and we need to talk about it more and call it out for what it is. Christian dogma masquerading as the ultimate moral high ground suppression tool. 

Organized religion is about controlling people period. It uses racism, sexism, classism, homophobia and fascist tactics to rule this country. America is not a Christian nation, but it will have you believe it is to uphold said mentioned control tactics to keep themselves in power. They not only want to control you spiritually with guilt and shame (and line their pockets tax free), they also want to control your body. The religious right are using this blow to bodily autonomy as another tool to deal with the dwindling white popilation in this country. They need more white babies to stay in control. They aren’t worried about saving Black, Brown, or Native babies becuse they already know this country will eat them alive (all the systemic issues will keep them behind on purpose). This is about the fear of losing white power and raising their numbers, so don’t y’all forget it. Organized religion is the tool of the Imperialist Capitalist White Supremacist Heteropatriarchy. God and Jesus do not know these people. They are coming for everyone who are not them. Mainstrem White people are freaking out now, but Black women, Black Queer Women, Black Trans Women, and Black Non-Binary Fam warned us for years what was on the horizon but anti-Blackness and misogynoir prevented folks from hearing the clarion call to action.

So I’ma write my lil fics, eat what food and drink I can afford as the climate burns up the crops nationwide, inflation rises, and COVID rages on as an afterthought, and step away from any more activism to fix this mess. Let the “shocked” fix the mess they helped make by being complacent and comfortable for years. I’ll do my grandma’s old school “Mmmph, mmmph, mmmph,” while tooling in my tiny garden. It’s above me now.
