Season 4 is actually so grating. Like, Adrien, man, you can be heartbroken and still respect someone's constant insistence that they do not like you!

There's a whole episode dedicated to how he's going out of his way so ladybug knows that he's given up on her and they can still be partners without it being an issue. And at the end he's like "no actually I'm not going to give up on ladybug ☝️🤓 I just have to try harder" like,, not only is it way out of character but it also just doesn't match the theme and tone of the episode. They could have just had him moping being like "being in love with someone who will never love me back is sad :(" that could have been the ending and they still could have had the same story arcs and beats throughout the season. They did him SO dirty
