Part of my training progression for learning the muscle-up: Straight bar dips. I need to work on my strength in the lowest position. In the first attempt to film this I lost control and fell down. How to get up on the bar? I do a combined leg lift and slight shrug/arm pull, followed by tilting the legs over to rotate into position with the hips as close as possible to the bar.
