Whipped up a quick list of prompts for this year's Movertober if I want to do them, so feel free to use it!
Movertober 2025
Breakfast

They're simple so it can be for writing, drawing, editing, analysis etc. any type of fanwork, open for any interpretation.
Bonus if each recurring character (Movers, Nina, Warehouse Mouse, Knit Knots) is focused on a prompt, sounds like it could be an interesting challenge!
I watched this show as a kid, and even tho it's been years since I seen it, some parts of it really stuck to me. So when I started rewatching this series, nostalgia did play a factor on how much I enjoyed it.
Tho that mostly applies to season 1, because by season 2 it felt like I was watching it for the first time (that's probably true, I've only seen season 1 lol). What I can say is I like how fun this show is, how it balances the creative and imaginative aspect of it while still applying the process of logic (?) to it. as in, their problem solving follows cause & effect, so it's not based on absurdity (?), just full of pure whimsy 🌟
And of course my favourite aspect of these type of shows are the characters and their dynamic with each other! Their friendship is just so wonderful, the characters bounce off each other so well.
And the premise/setting is very well-crafted, it's easy to build on (?). Like idk, the concept is pretty fluid so pretty much anything can happen, so in terms of fan content you have a really big sandbox to play on and be creative with it!
Well that's enough words haha, have this little edit !!
(Ok this isn't technically a vacation, but they're resting from work lol)

Note: Inspired by a video of someone telling their partner about seeing a bird, which is just to see the other's reaction when someone bring up something insignificant/mundane. Hence why it was Rich asking all the bird questions, even tho Smitty would usually be the one interested.
Weekends are for resting. Smitty had always needed more alone time than the others to recharge, but having company in his home once in a while was nice. It never felt draining with his friends around.
"I saw a bird today," Smitty said, already sitting down on the couch with a book in hand.
"Really?" Rich asked from across the room. Plates clattered gently as he arranged them on the dish rack, then dried his hands on a towel. "What kind?"
"I don't know," Smitty replied plainly. He flipped open to the bookmarked page.
"Did you get a picture?"
"No, it flew away right after I saw it."
Smitty peered over the book to see Rich, who was rummaging through a bag he brought with him when he first arrived. The drummer then disappeared from Smitty's line of sight, so the cowboy focused back to his book.
"What colour was it?" Smitty heard his friend ask, even if he was nowhere to be seen.
"Not sure."
Minutes later, Rich stood next to the couch. "Was it blue?"
Smitty shrugged. "I didn't get a good look at it. It was really fast." He glanced up to his friend; Rich was typing something in his phone.
"Let's see, could it be a shiny blue?" He then brought his phone down to Smitty's eye level. There were search results for "blue birds in New Orleans" and on the top of the page was a picture of a blue jay.
"Maybe. I couldn't see it clearly but it was pretty." Smitty looked back at his friend, who gave him a smile. Rich pulled the phone to him and walked away.
Smitty continued reading, and shortly after, Rich came back with a notebook in hand.
"Mind if I sit here?"
"Sure thing." Smitty had barely scooted over to make room when Rich fell back onto the couch to sit beside him. He let his friend lean against him as he got back to his book, while Rich scribbled, occasionally writing song ideas that came to mind. They stayed like that for a while in silence, the sound of paper and pencil scratches filling in the calm ambience.
I wrote a quick short fic based on this prompt. The Idea Warehouse is always fun to think about how it works, and I wanted to dive deeper into that but only managed this. Maybe some day I'll get to implement more of my headcanons on how the rooms work. But hope you enjoy this writing anyway!

Scott pulled the door as it closed with a click.
"That Maze Room was a lot of fun!" Nina cheered.
"I forgot there was even a prize if we get to the middle. Usually we just get lost," the mover added, holding up a shiny coin to Nina, who held one in her hand as well. They unwrapped the golden cover, revealing the coin-shaped chocolate inside and taking a bite out of it. "Good thing you were here, or I would've needed someone to come save me."
The two started walking along the hallway, passing various rooms they've already entered. Nina hummed a tune as she looked around. She observed some of the doors and signs, realizing she'd already forgotten a lot the room locations. "Sometimes it feels like these rooms are endless. I think I'd get lost in these hallways if you weren't here to guide me, Scott. How do you guys even keep track of where everything is? It's almost like going through a maze."
"That's easy! We just uh..." Scott thought for a moment, "well, it's not that easy. We do have the Warehouse map if we ever forget. But sometimes it's not accurate. We update it every time there's a new room, but we might miss one or two."
"Wouldn't you just update the map every time you make a new room?"
"Yeah but there's rooms that we haven't found out yet too."
"What do you mean?" Nina stopped in her tracks to look at Scott, giving him a puzzled expression.
"I mean, we don't know where some of the rooms are until we find it," Scott explained, which only caused Nina's eyebrows to furrow deeper.
"Wait, you mean that some of the rooms just.. appear?"
"Yup, I think, maybe." Scott shrugged.
Nina continued her steps as her friend followed close. "Wow, this place is just full of surprises."
"That's why it's fun to explore the Idea Warehouse!" Scott beamed, earning a giggle from Nina.
"What were some of those rooms?"
"Let's see.. oh!" Scott jogged over to one of the rooms and pointed towards the sign on it. "The Sun Room! We saw this room was really sunny, so we added things that you could do under the sun, like..." He opened the door, the sunlight causing them to shielded their eyes. Scott backed away from the blinding rays and caught a beach ball flying out from the room. "...having fun at the beach!" he continued. The ball was promptly tossed back in, then Scott closed the door.
"So some rooms naturally have special features. This place is amazing!" Nina twirled around. "It's so magical, I can't wait to do more exploring."
"Me too!" Scott agreed, excitedly flapping his hands. They laughed and Nina took Scott's hand in hers as they ran their way back to the Think Tank.
Here is a miniature version of Knit Knots' Boring Breakfast Bits!
I downloaded a cereal box template and made the mockup. The one with no colours was just a test on glossy type paper, but then the ink got smeared so I just printed it on normal paper.
The "Did You Know" part is just words related to 'boring' lol.
i accidentally made it rhyme, it's much too exciting now oh no.
I chose Peggy! She's from Season 1 episode "Heavy Reading". There's a lot of things about her I wanna talk about, like the fact she's one of the first customers that the Movers helped, and her whole thing is that she has a giant heavy phone book which has every phone number in the world (you can find services and such). Idk it's a pretty creative concept for the time.
Unfortunate for her the internet and phones exist for that now lol, altho I'd like to believe in the show's universe, Peggy's book turned out to be a huge success (considering Knit Knots' business seems to have been going well). Speaking of, it's cool how Peggy and Knit Knots had a similar interest and got along pretty well, even tho Peggy is definitely not boring.
Anyway I headcanon that by the end of S1 Peggy's book became well known and she'd been telling people about the Movers as well, and that helped the Movers gain a lot more customers in S2. I also like to think she and Knit Knots became friends later on lol.
Movertober Day 5: Favourite Character Design/Style
prompt list here!
Warehouse Mouse is literally the cutest little buddy ever and I loooove how cuddly he looks sometimes. He's so Shaped love this lil fella. And his little outfits are always so neat!
And Knit Knots' style is of course iconic, he is like, *the* definition of beige.
For non-recurring characters, I love how the Movers' dads look and how much they reflect (?) their sons. Ah I love their moms too, lmao I love all their designs they're just really fun.
