FIX LAGS ON HD VIDEO - VLC

So, I was watching a .mkv movie file and all I got are these freaking lags.

After googling, found out that most .mkv files caused lags in VLC (mostly HD).

Here's the solution for a lag-free streaming. *Please see sources

1. Go to Tools / Preferences / Input and Codecs / Codecs

2. Navigate to "Skip H.264 in-loop deblocking filter" and set the drop-down menu to "All"

3. Save, then replay your video.. and Voila! Clean streams!

This troubleshoot real saves me from wrecking my lappy from the frustrations. Hehe.. Hope I helped. Cheers.
