...I am in favor of the “move it all twice” vs making MULTIPLE 8-10 hr crossstate trips for another load.

Because...it will take several trips. For just the furniture. And we’re not going to need to use those Already Packed Boxes anyway? We can make do? And despite all I’ve packed mostly on my own there’s So Much MORE left to do. And what I’ve done? I keep running out of space.

So...yeah. I’m all in favor of gradually moving the stuff We Do Not Need to my Grampa’s Basement to store and if at all possible only having the Repeat Trips be 20 min vs 10 hr.

Buuuut...I’m smart enough to not actually say that to my mom’s face (when this is her Angry Yell Because Stressed To Max outlet)

So many boxes, so little time. 

I. Hate. Moving. 

This is the 9th move I’ve done, and the 4th one I’ve done solo (sans family). Well, not including homeless summer 2012, there was too much from place to place so I just count Loch Lomond -> LK Wood Town House. Woo, perks of being a Life-long Renter™

Why do I have so much shit. And yet, I really don’t have that much shit. But why do I have this much? My Dad was reminded me that I only have like a year left so I need to let go of a lot more stuff but I’m too damn sentimental/still have hoped to use things some day. I know that sounds like hoarder talk, but like mostly I have so many incomplete projects. I just packed away 3/4 of a Ren Faire costume that I’ve had for years. Ever been to a Ren Faire? Nope. Ever going to go? Who even knows, but so long as I have the costume pieces I can hold out a shred of hope that I will.

Looking through my things while packing just reminds me of how many incomplete dreams and aspirations I have.
