Patton notices slowly over time how his boyfriends spend all of their time with him either in the Commons or in his bedroom and it gets him thinking he’s only been in Virgil’s room once and never in Dee’s. He wonders how to bring it up because he knows better than to enter their rooms without their permission. Maybe they don’t want him in there.
The thought causes him to frown.
“I totally don’t want to know what’s caused that frown because I certainly don’t like when you smile,” comments Deceit out of nowhere.
Patton turns his head and gives him a smile as he watches Deceit move to join him on the couch before leaning up to give him a kiss.
“It’s nothing to worry about, Dee. I promise,” replies Patton.
Deceit frowns.
“What doesn’t Dee need to worry about?” asks Virgil from the other side of the room.
Patton opens his mouth to say something but Deceit places a finger on his lips, silencing him.
Walking over, Virgil sits on the other side of Patton.
“I didn’t come in and see Patton frowning. He told me the reason when I asked,” explains Deceit.
“Patton?” asks Virgil softly as he takes his hand.
Patton sighs.
“I got to thinking about how we spend all of our time either out here or in my room then how I’ve never spent any time in either of your rooms which brought me to the thought that you didn’t want me in there,” explains Patton.
He knows when his boyfriends team up they’ll always get what they want especially from him.
Virgil and Deceit share a look.
“We do want to spend time with you in our rooms but we didn’t think you want to, after the first time you came into my room with Logan, Roman and Thomas,” responds Virgil.
Patton squeezes his hand before grabbing Deceit’s with his other one.
“Our rooms are totally like the Light Sides’ rooms and there’s nothing to worry about in them,” comments Deceit.
Patton smiles softly at him.
“I’ll be with one or both of you so it won’t be scary or anything. How could it be when I’m with my two protectors?”
Deceit feels the non-scaly side of his face heat up at Patton’s words while Virgil buries his face in Patton’s shoulder.
Giggling softly at his loves, Patton squeezes their hands.
“I love you both,” he says softly.
“I totally don’t love you at all,” replies Deceit.
“Love you too, Patton,” mumbles Virgil into his shoulders.
