So after the last couple videos, Patton isn’t sure where he stands with Virgil but HE MISSES HIS BEST FRIEND. So, he listens to Virgil’s favorite music while curled around a black and purple Virgil-inspired pillow as he wears Virgil’s old black hoodie.
I’m getting a kick out of writing my Moceit ‘accidentally getting married because they were drunk and in Vegas’ fic. Thank you, Carrie Underwood for the inspiration.
Logan and Patton’s favorite channel to watch together is Animal Planet especially shows like the Aquarium, the Zoo and Crikey! It’s the Irwins because cute animals + learning opportunity hits both of their sweet spots. Logan finds Patton adorable when he squeals over the animals especially the babies. Patton loves it when Logan interjects with interesting facts he knows.
Patton notices slowly over time how his boyfriends spend all of their time with him either in the Commons or in his bedroom and it gets him thinking he’s only been in Virgil’s room once and never in Dee’s. He wonders how to bring it up because he knows better than to enter their rooms without their permission. Maybe they don’t want him in there.
The thought causes him to frown.
“I totally don’t want to know what’s caused that frown because I certainly don’t like when you smile,” comments Deceit out of nowhere.
Patton turns his head and gives him a smile as he watches Deceit move to join him on the couch before leaning up to give him a kiss.
“It’s nothing to worry about, Dee. I promise,” replies Patton.
Deceit frowns.
“What doesn’t Dee need to worry about?” asks Virgil from the other side of the room.
Patton opens his mouth to say something but Deceit places a finger on his lips, silencing him.
Walking over, Virgil sits on the other side of Patton.
“I didn’t come in and see Patton frowning. He told me the reason when I asked,” explains Deceit.
“Patton?” asks Virgil softly as he takes his hand.
Patton sighs.
“I got to thinking about how we spend all of our time either out here or in my room then how I’ve never spent any time in either of your rooms which brought me to the thought that you didn’t want me in there,” explains Patton.
He knows when his boyfriends team up they’ll always get what they want especially from him.
Virgil and Deceit share a look.
“We do want to spend time with you in our rooms but we didn’t think you want to, after the first time you came into my room with Logan, Roman and Thomas,” responds Virgil.
Patton squeezes his hand before grabbing Deceit’s with his other one.
“Our rooms are totally like the Light Sides’ rooms and there’s nothing to worry about in them,” comments Deceit.
Patton smiles softly at him.
“I’ll be with one or both of you so it won’t be scary or anything. How could it be when I’m with my two protectors?”
Deceit feels the non-scaly side of his face heat up at Patton’s words while Virgil buries his face in Patton’s shoulder.
Giggling softly at his loves, Patton squeezes their hands.
“I love you both,” he says softly.
“I totally don’t love you at all,” replies Deceit.
“Love you too, Patton,” mumbles Virgil into his shoulders.
Patton freezes at the question coming from his best friend’s lips. He should have known better than to try to lie to Dee; he can always see through Patton. Jealousy isn’t something Patton can be proud but he can’t help it when it comes Dee.
Reaching out for Patton’s hand, Dee almost has it but then Patton steps out of reach causing Dee to frown.
“Does it matter?” responds Patton.
He’s always known he didn’t have a change with Dee and didn’t have an issue with random people flirting and trying to pick him up…but now, Roman’s entered the fray, Patton has less than a zero percent chance with Dee. He can hear Logan’s voice in his head, saying that’s not possible.
Who in their right mind would pick Patton Hart over Roman Prince?
“Patton – I,” starts Dee but Patton interrupts him.
“Don’t Dee, just don’t.”
Patton takes a couple of deep breaths while Dee stares at the back of his head.
How did things get so messed up?
“Uh, hey guys. What’s going on?”
Patton stiffens at the sound of Roman’s voice; it’s time to get out of here. Going over to where his bag sits packed for his afternoon classes, he grabs it then puts it on properly.
Then he turns to Dee and Roman.
“I’ve got class, gotta go.”
He doesn’t wait for them to respond before heading out of the door. There’s an hour to his class so he might as well get some coffee, it could help him calm down.
Roman and Dee stand there, staring at the doorway in shock at Patton’s behavior.
