Is That a Cig in Your Sleeve?

Based off this post by @itsjustkyss. Terrible title.

He didn’t look like a smoker.

Then again, what did you know about what a smoker would look like?

But everyone said that was a box of cigarettes in his sleeve.

You didn’t believe that. You really didn’t believe that.

Then one day, you got proven right.

You had been running around all day, doing every task Murder-Slaughter told you to.

You were exhausted as you walked back to your cell.

You collapsed into your bed, closing your eyes and trying to rest. 

“Hey, youse ok?” 

He had to stop doing that. One day, a prisoner will be moved to your cell, and will sleep up there.

You got out of bed, watching as he moved from under the mattress. He jumped from the top bunk and walked over to you.

“Youse look horrible. Here, this might help.” He reached into his sleeve, grasping the box.

You honestly expected him to pull out cigarettes, offering one to you to break the rules.

But he pulled out a box of juice.

Confused, you take it, stabbing the straw into it and sipping. The cool liquid left you feeling refreshed.

So, he never held cigarettes in that sleeve. After tending to you, he crept into the kitchen and stole another box to put into his sleeve.

Turns out you were right after all.

Dark’s office was... dark, sure. It was a void. 

But he’d never describe it as purgatory.

He looked up from senseless documents as a man stumbled into the office.

A black and white spiral shrank behind said man, who was clad in a pristine white suit.

“Who are you?” Dark asked, standing.

“Wait... what is this place?”

“I asked you a question,” the demon stated, auras beginning to glow.

“Woah, hold on there. I’m Annus, and I was recording a video two seconds ago... is this purgatory?”

Dark blinked, auras dimming.

“This is my office. It’s no purgatory. You mentioned recording a video?”

As ‘Annus’ nodded, Dark chuckled.

“Annus, correct? What did Mark create you for?”

“His Unus Annus channel with Ethan, I guess.”

Dark sighed, sitting down and ignoring the argument in his head.

“Welcome to Iplier Inc., then.”

Incidental Coincidences

A/N: This is part one of a collab with @endlessdreamerdragon​ that was based off their idea which they told me about when I was out shopping one day. It took some time (due to my uni and other stuff), but enjoy this Yancy angst

Word count: 378 words

Warnings: detailed descriptions of injuries

**I would advise reading the attached reports for each part before reading the actual writing** 

“So, new guy, what are you in here for?”   Doug Davis, a man who hated his name, looked over his left shoulder. Just hidden by the collar of his shirt, a butterfly tattoo bumped down his aggressive look.  

“Assault with intent to kill. Not my fault the person didn’t want to move.” Doug raised his fist, miming squeezing an orange.  

“I was that close to beating the guy’s head in,” he commented, turning around to fully face the other prisoners.  

“I asked them to move, but they were wearing headphones and couldn’t hear me. So I thought, maybe if I give them a little nudge,” he shifted his shoulder, pretending to nudge an invisible person.  

“They didn’t move, but muttered something. ‘What did you say?’ I asked, but they ignored me. By this time they had taken their headphones off, so I yelled the question to them.” He looked around at the others, noticing one person who wasn’t looking at him.  

“They had the nerve to comment on how rude I was! Can you believe that? They called me out on being rude! Naturally, I responded by shoving them. I also took their headphones and threw them away.” Doug stood up, standing with raised fists.

“It was so easy to beat them up! They didn’t even try to fight back. I’ve never beaten up someone who didn’t fight back before. I hit them until they were on the floor, and their face was barely recognisable anymore.” He ground his teeth, glaring at a speck on the floor.  

“I would have killed them, but someone had dialled 911. The police got me, and the paramedics took the stupid person to the hospital.”  Up until now, Yancy had just been listening to Doug’s story, sketching some little pictures of Tiny Box Tim into his notebook. Now, he closed the book and spun around in his seat.  

“Did youse find out this person’s name?” Doug looked at Yancy, a man with tattoos down his arms and slicked back hair. Immediately Doug decided he didn’t like this man.  

“Why would you want to know? “Just ‘cause,” Yancy said casually, crossing his arms over his chest.

“I mean, the paramedics found their ID and started trying to communicate. I heard them say Y/N.”

A Letter to y/n - Chapter Three

Dear y/n,

I looked outside today and saw the sun rising for what is possibly the first time since I got to this place.

The sky was lit up in oranges and purples; looking so much like something I thought I’d never be able to see.

The purples mixed with the oranges at the point the orange became yellow, and it looked like a bruise I had given someone.

Yeah, I maybe punched a new prisoner. They was talking bad about youse! Nobody talks bad about my friends and gets away with it!

I got a week in solitary.

The sunrise gave me this great idea to write a new song for you. I know you’ll love it.

The warden’s been a little out of sorts recently. He seems to get angry at the smallest things, and none of us knows how to fix it.

We hope he’s better when you come for visitation.

I’m looking at the moon as I write this letter. It’s full, and sits among the dark blues of the night. I can’t see no stars.

I’ll be waiting for you to come visit.

Searching

A/N: huh, I actually kinda like this title. Anyway, Illinois fic for you guys.

He had been searching for weeks. 

Sure, that fight in the prison wasn’t part of the plan, but he was sure they were there.

And that interview.

And now, some some godforsaken reason, he was on a boat, looking for them.

Why did he get on the boat? Easy. That captain’s first mate looked vaguely like them. They were in every person he saw, it seemed.

He needed to see them again, if only to make sure they were alright.

He had been so self-centred. Leaving them after getting his treasure. What a jerk.

“Land ho!” He hoped to find them soon, so he could get off the boat.

But this looked like a city. It wasn’t just an island. It was a civilisation.

And there was a figure. The captain was talking to them, slapping their shoulder like close friends.

Could it be?

He moved closer to see the familiar face.

“Y/n?”

Yancy looked up as the ringing in his ears persisted, seeing a man in a white suit stand in front of him.

“Who...?”

“Who I am does not matter. It’s what I can do that matters.”

“They’re gone. He took them. It’s no point.”

The man moved closer to him, duplicating until he snapped forward.

“I can take you to them. You shouldn’t give up.”

Yancy shook his head, staring at his hands.

“How can you take me there? I’m not leaving.”

The ringing grew louder as he leaned closer to the prisoner.

“You can call me Dark. We’ve met before. In a different reality, though. You tried to fight me. I can help you in this one.”
