Little Treasures - Wonshik + Artemis
@mpxartemis
Though he wasn’t prone to losing things, there was the occasional object that spontaneously went missing for no reason other than misplacement. He’d probably lost one set of keys in his entire life, and may or may not have had to replace one of his ID’s if memory served correctly, but those were just things - replaceable things. Sure, it was inconvenient and at times expensive to replace things, but Wonshik would rather lose his ID’s all over again than lose his wallet.
Though wallets were replaceable as well, Wonshik kept things that were simply irreplaceable with him at all times - things that he treasured and refused to let go. And that was why he was now frantically retracing his steps for the fourth time, searching for his wallet, anxiety starting to slip into his demeanour. He fought to keep his breathing steady as he kept his eyes trained straight on the ground, darting them across his path as he searched for any sign of the wallet - a card, or hell even a footprint. He needed to find that wallet - not for the fifty dollars tucked in the pocket or the bank card or the ID’s or even the points cards from various shops - he didn’t care about those. What mattered most was the photograph - the one taken with his little sister around five years ago at the mall in one of those stupid photo booths. It was his treasure, even if to many, it was just a simple, meaningless photograph.
