Linny had never been a ‘sit in a coffee shop’ sort of girl -- the whole thing was too cliche, too romantic comedy. She’d much rather spend her hours just about anywhere else, if she were being honest. However, Linny was definitely a ‘free wifi’ sort of girl and with the router still needing installation in her apartment, hangouts such as the cafe down the road were a necessary evil. With her laptop safely tucked away in the bag at her feet to be used a bit later, the brunette had taken a seat at a table by the large windows, headphones slipped into her ears to drown out the generic background music with something to her own tastes. She had the volume on relatively low -- she’d need to hear them call her name, after all -- but was otherwise focused on the screen of her iPod, flicking through apps and songs until she found what she was looking for. At a sound that could very well have been her name, the girl tugged at the cord gently to remove the buds from her ears, preparing for the barista to repeat the name he or she had presumably just called.
