total eclipse of the heart (mp) // fletcher & corinne
[Dinner was, by anyone's standards, a resounding success. All of Fletcher's preceding nerves and reservations had settled by the time they'd looked at the menu and ordered their starters. He'd manged, in the most part, not to stumble over his words, nor to go off on too many space-related tangents. In fact, he'd barely been able to stop grinning, simply beside himself with the fact that Corinne had, genuinely, wanted to have dinner with him. Now, with desert long forgotten, Fletcher concludes that it's as good as time as to enquire as to whether or not Corinne would be agreeable to watching the lunar eclipse with him.] I, ehm, I just wanted to say thank you, again, f-for joining me. [He pulls at the collar of his shirt, his fingers running over his stop button. A quick glance at his watch tells him that the eclipse will be starting shortly.] I know it's ... late, but, do you have time? I mean, do you need to rush home? It's perfectly alright if you do but the moon is doing a thing this evening and I think you might -- maybe you'd like to watch it with me?
