my investor is better than yours 🤑

Nomi's investor, Aedan Bishop, is a successful commercial realtor/investor. He owns multiple properties around Lenox and Port Sycamore such as, The Galleria Mall and some rental properties as well. He found this space in West Park for Nomi to view as a potential spot for her store. She brought her brother Niles along to take photos of the space for future reference. Nomi loves the space and can't wait to start bidding on it.

another corporate event 📃

Demetria Green aka. Demi works for the Lenox Stock Exchange (Wall Street) in Lenox, NY. Her team decided to meet up for a corporate mixer at New York New York Pool Hall in the city. They say never get drunk at a work event, however, between Tatum being a certified hater and the stress of trying to impress her boss Demi needed to drink. As a team building exercise, they played beer pong together. Demi's team ended up losing because she was too busy daydreaming about her fine ahh co-worker, Memphis Poindexter. He works on the floor with her. When he started at the stock exchange, she was immediately impressed by him. He always has an answer for everything (in a good way) and has treated her with respect from the beginning.

After a couple rounds of the game, Demi got too lit and Memphis offered to take her home. From downtown, her apartment is about a 15 minute subway ride. He was such a gentleman and made sure she made it in. She was hoping for more, but Memphis kept it professional...this time 😉.

it's giving...rich ✨

Nara and Latrell are getting ready to host Nara's siblings for a dinner party at their new condo in the city. Nara is very excited to have her brother and sister meet the love of her life, formally.

I love the way that they look at each other. Latrell proposed to Nara last winter. They plan on getting married this year. However, they are both extremely busy. Between Latrell's fast paced life as a superstar NBA player and Nara's thriving styling firm, planning a wedding has been getting away from them. For Nara, this is the best thing that could have ever happened. She is really big on appearances and keeping up her image, so being engaged to the biggest player in the league has been getting her a lot of attention.

Monica Woods and Rohan Basu have been together for two years. They met at a corporate Christmas party, as they both work in the corporate world. Monica is a business lawyer at Coleman and Howard Law and Rohan is a financial analyst for Goldbloom Financial Group (both located in downtown Lenox, NY). Rohan was taken with Monica at first site; he thought that she was the prettiest woman in the world. They recently got engaged two months ago and Monica couldn't be happier. I mean who wouldn't? She is spoiled by Rohan.

Rohan comes from money, as his family is well-known for their incredibly lucrative tea company. However, Rohan has made a way for himself here in Lenox. He has a reputation for being a shark in the financial world and always gets the job done, no matter what. Monica admires that in them, as she is the same way. Making partner at her firm was very important to her, and she was one of the youngest people to do so (she's now in her early 30s and is a very experienced lawyer for reference).

Monica definitely took Shera's advice and is living the life she has been wanting. However, even still marriage is very nerve-wracking for her, as she is used to being able to do whatever she wants, whenever she wants to. She is going to need to learn to balance her fast paced lifestyle with the "family" life.

The prettiest siblings 😍

From left to right, Nomi, Niles, and Nara Carrington.

The Carringtons are heirs to Carrington Haus (a famous fashion brand founded in Lenox, NY). The oldest of the three, Nara works with her parents for the brand, but she also has her own business called Carrington Styling (a styling firm known for their high profile clients and streamline aesthetic). She is currently engaged to Latrell North, a superstar in the NBA. The middle child, Nomi, is a a rebel. She despises her family's brand as she is a free spirit and a total maximalist. Nomi works as a Textiles professor at the Barlowe Academy of Art; a prestigious art school located in Lenox. She is working towards her ultimate goal of owning a high fashion boutique. The baby of the family, Niles loves his family and wants everyone to get along. He works for his family's brand as a photographer for the fashion house. Niles lives in between his sister's worlds; he loves expressing his creativity but he understands the importance of his family's legacy.

Their whole lives Nara and Nomi have never gotten along. Unfortunately, their world point of views do not align and they have never been able to work it out.
