an update on LDOMLT (and this blog)

hi beloveds and happy bts month! 🤍 i hope you're all staying healthy and hydrated. two important updates for y'all are below this cut :)

1- i cannot believe i am typing these words, but the final chapter of LDOMLT is complete and is currently with my incredible beta team.

as of right now, i don't have an official release date. i love the ~metaphoric resonance~ of potentially planning the drop for june 20th, the day yoongi completes his service. but frankly, i know my impatient mind, and it's a lot more likely that i am going to 'fuck it shibal' this chapter out into the world the moment i feel it's ready.

so i guess this is me telling you to, uh, brace yourselves lmao. perhaps start a reread given that it's been two whole entire years, oops. who else is feeling completely terrified, put your hands up!!!!!

2- i have been #thinking a lot of #thots about what i want my next steps forward to be. the completion of this series after such a long (LONG!) time coming feels very much like a bookend for me, and a really lovely note to end my "here2bbtstrash era" on.

which means that, with the completion of LDOMLT, this blog will be closing. not because i don't want to write anymore, not because i am unstanning bts, and not because i am leaving tumblr. rather, i just like the idea of letting this be an archive of a specific time in my life, and giving myself the chance to start totally fresh in a new place.

i sit next to the guy i like in my iaps class and he was playing wordle while we were watching a documentary and it was so pathetically bad i dont know how he could have done so poorly it was almost impressive and i cant stop thinking about it. when we were walking out of class and he said "it had two cs ! what words have two cs !" and then i started listing some and he responded with "wait ok i can think of some. uh. celery [long pause as i stare at him] oh shit yeah i thought it had an s" it was legitimately one of the most baffling exchanges of my entire life and i think i had cartoon heart eyes the entire time. happy valentine's day everyone.
