"please don't."

“I don’t know if I heard you,” he teased, his voice coming out in a slight melody as he held the water gun towards the girl again. “Saying please won’t save you now, Sohee,” he said with a laugh before cocking the water gun playfully, his eyes wide as she began to run from him, out of the door of the apartment complex. “Sohee!” He laughed before chasing after her, spraying water immediately.

Kibum furrowed his eyebrows as he stepped through the Sphinx apartments, a few shopping bags in his arms. He’d gotten in touch with Sohee earlier that day about potentially spending time together and while it was slightly uncharacteristic of him, he was excited to be around the other.

He’d never truly gotten along with his half-brother back at home in London, they were too different and his brother loved to take advantage of that fact, knowing that if it was between Kibum’s word and his own, his parents would choose him. Thankfully, him and his sisters didn’t seem to have that same issue.

It was odd to him but they all seemed to get each other, having grown up with the same abilities and challenges. Even surrounded by demigods, most wouldn’t know how it felt to be known as different right from appearance but Sohee was like him; all it took was a look into their eyes to know how different they were, the tell-tale sign of feline.

Adjusting the bags of snacks in his arms as he arrived at her door, he knocked lightly a few times, bouncing on his heels. He was excited, it would be a simple night, no drama and no nosy gods. Just him and his sister.

“don’t get alarmed but i’m being followed. act normal.”

Kibum immediately straightened up, all of his senses on full alert despite the girl’s warning for him to remain calm. Him and Sohee had only known each other for a short time but Kibum felt a need to protect the girl almost instantly, recognizing her as family to him. “How can I act normal if you’re being followed?” He whispered to her quietly, his voice coming out as a hiss, even as an arm wrapped around the girl. If she was being followed, he wouldn’t let the person get any closer.

"don't move! i just got comfy."

Kibum squirmed as the girl wrapped her arms around his middle, his eyes rolling at her words, though it was fond. He’d invited the girl over to watch movies and though he wouldn’t admit it, he just wanted to spend time with her. Him and his brother had never been close; they were too different and he was favored, leaving Kibum sour. But he didn’t feel that way with Choa and Sohee, it was odd but he really did see them as the family that he never had.

“But my leg is falling asleep,” he whined immaturely, attempting to adjust himself on the couch one more time before her arms tightened around him. Sighing, he figured he could deal with it for another hour.
