cautionary tale;
@mpxjennie
Diana hesitated outside of Jennie’s door, distinctly feeling like she might throw up at any moment. She had been trembling with anxious energy since that afternoon, when she had spotted the other demigoddess talking with Hwiyoung. Just the sight of the two interacting had felt like it knocked the wind out of her. Jennie was nice. She desperately did not want to see the other woman get hurt by that monster.
But she was also scared to bring it up to Jennie. Scared that she wouldn’t understand or wouldn’t believe her and that she would have to divulge all of the awful details that she would rather not think about, let alone give voice to. The prospect was terrifying, making her feel all the worse. And after letting it all eat at her for a few hours, she couldn’t stand it anymore.
So she knocked, haltingly, softly, on the door. Maybe she had hoped Jennie wouldn’t hear it or wouldn’t be home. But then the door opened, and she was face-to-face with the other girl, and suddenly her throat was so dry she was not sure she could speak. “J-Jennie, I... I need to... talk to you.”
