I am done with pro-lifers right now.  You might be familiar with Christian youtubers Paul & Morgan - they’re kind of irritating but most of the time easy to ignore.  Morgan has decided that shaming women who get abortions would be a great opportunity to try and relaunch her singing career.  Are you fucking kidding?  Do you think women are getting abortions for fun? Do you think it’s a decision ever taken lightly?  And can you not see how harmful this is?

All the fundies/Christian influencers who I’ve seen publicly speaking out like this (since the NY situation) are people in stable situations - they’re happy for any pregnancy they get - but it’s not like this for everyone.  Have some empathy.  Do you think the guilt ever goes away, regardless of your worldview?  Do you think that pang in the pit of your stomach, every time you walk past a tiny baby, ever goes away?  Do you think the ‘what ifs’ ever stop?  

If you are so passionate about protecting life, maybe think about the politicians you’re so pleased to support.  Do you think easy access to guns protects life? Do you think telling LGBTQ+ kids that they’re sinful and disgusting is protecting lives?  Do you think doing nothing about the amount of people living in poverty is protecting life? Instead of making women who are not as fortunate as yourselves feel like shit for a horrible thing they had to go through, maybe actually do something to start protecting the people who are already on this planet, who are struggling.  

This isn’t an opportunity for you to try and relaunch your singing career, to ‘protect lives’, while doing nothing to ‘protect life’.  

I’m mad, I’m upset, and I can’t believe these middle class white Christians in their ivory towers are going to keep on with this bullshit for likes on social media.  Go educate yourselves. Fuck off.

Sorry y’all! I watched Mr. Athiest’s talk on the future of sex robots and i have a lot on my mind!

Okay, excuse me I’m gonna be concerned about this. But.

Apparently there are loads of legislative bodies that are trying to introduce laws that restrict the realism of robots/sex robots.

Which, okay fair, but also, surely that will... invite discrimination in the future? being able to identify an individual via any means is providing a means for discrimination.

Should sex robots become concious enough to think for themselves, there could be a point where there will be a few who don’t want to partake in sex. Which obviosuly is perfectly valid, but what happens when someone disregards that because “you’re a robot”. It becomes rape. Which is why sex robots is a really, really bad idea anyway.

I think, we’d see something like detroit become human happen. maybe not to the same scale, but if it’s normalised for families to have robots/androids in their himes, that’s going to be a problem.

What has happened in the past when white people were convinced that people of a certain race, or ethnicity were different or sub-human, etc? You get the holocaust. You get thousands of years of slavery.

If anyone thinks for even a second on this it’s clear to see that this is a really bad idea.

Damnit people buy blow up dolls, already, whats to stop people from producing realistic human looking “sex bots” that can understand commands to a point where their ai is left to freely do their own thing? At that point you need to wonder if it’s wrong to allow such beings to be sexualised like that.

Also largely most of these sex robots are going to look like women. It’s going to further sexualize and fetishize women. It’s going to lead of the extreme fetishization of poc women especially. Oh and of course if they make men, the same thing is going to happen. Think of how many disgusting ppl would have two same gendered sex robots havce sex, to fuel their gross ass fantasies?
